SIO-2 - Blue Earthenware - PLA - 1050-1080ºC - 5Kg

Blue earthenware body. Its blue colour in oxidising atmosphere is a highlight in the range of low firing colours. Its fineness and plasticity make it an excellent choice for wheel- throwing and modelling. Very good behaviour with standard pottery glazes. Available in extruded body (moist form).

• Firing range: 1050-1080ºC.
• Water content (throwing): 19%.
• Plasticity (IP Atterberg): 15.
• Carbonate content (CaCO3): 16%.
• Drying shrinkage: 5.6%.
• Firing shrinkage (1050ºC): -0.3%.
• Porosity (water absorption at 1050ºC): 12.1%.
• Dry bending strength: 4.1 N/mm2.
• Fired bending strength (1050ºC): 31.7 N/mm2.
• Thermal coefficient (25-500ºC): 76.6x10^-7ºC^-1.
